Galimoto Media cc was founded in 1999 by Hans Heese and Hannes Oosthuizen (the fresh editor of CAR magazine) after they had met at Stellenbosch University. Galimoto Media has been supplying the Boland region with its wine and wheat farmers with test reports since 1999 and we hope to further improve the service we provide to our readers.
Our clients increasingly draw advertisements from the local dealers who like to see reports of their vehicles published in the newspapers. We cover the whole Boland region where virtually all manufacturers are represented. As a matter of interest: Somerset West and the Helderberg region, our main target area, has the highest percentage of millionaires per square kilometre in the country and boast ownership of the highest number of exotic saloons and sports cars!
We also specialise in doing translations from German and English text to Afrikaans and have the proven skills to do research and write promotional articles and advertorials for manufacturers. Motoring history is our forte. We also supply the authoritive German auto motor und sport’s Auto Katalog with South African content.
Dr. Hans Heese is also the historical advisor to CAR magazine and many of his informative articles have appeared in renowned Afrikaans publications like Die Burger, Beeld and Volksblad.
With the high percentage of Germans living in the Boland, and especially the greater Helderberg area, we added German to our normal Afrikaans and English articles on our website. This makes us the only trilingual motoring website in the country.
